కథ:
శివ (సుధీర్ బాబు) ఒక హేతువాది, పారా నార్మల్ సొసైటీలో సభ్యుడు. దయ్యాలు, ఆత్మలు లేవని, మనుషుల్లోని భయమే ప్రధానమని నమ్మే యువకుడు. అయితే, అతనికి తరచూ ఒకే పీడకల వస్తుంటుంది. ఒక అపాయంలో ఉన్న చిన్నారిని కాపాడాలని కల కంటాడు. ఈ కల అతనికి తెలియని గతాన్ని, రుద్రారం అనే గ్రామాన్ని, లంకె బిందెల కోసం కాపలా కాసే 'ధన పిశాచిని' (సోనాక్షి సిన్హా)కి అతన్ని కనెక్ట్ చేస్తుంది. అసలు శివ ఎవరు? తన గతం వెనుక ఉన్న రహస్యం ఏమిటి? ధన పిశాచి కథేంటి? అనేది సినిమా కథ.

'జటాధర' సినిమా ఒక ఆసక్తికరమైన కాన్సెప్ట్తో - దయ్యాల వేట, అతీత శక్తులు, నిధి రహస్యం వంటి అంశాలతో దర్శకులు ఒక పవర్-ప్యాక్డ్ థ్రిల్లర్ను అందించాలని ప్రయత్నించారు. సినిమాకు అసలు సమస్య కథనం (Screenplay). వాస్తవానికి, హీరో సుధీర్ బాబు ఈ పాత్ర కోసం చాలా నిబద్ధతతో నటించాడు. క్లైమాక్స్లో కూడా తన ప్రయత్నం స్పష్టంగా కనిపిస్తుంది. అలాగే, ధన పిశాచి పాత్రలో సోనాక్షి సిన్హా లుక్ మరియు ఆమె స్క్రీన్ ప్రెజెన్స్ ఆకట్టుకునేలా ఉన్నాయి. కొన్ని చోట్ల సినిమా విజువల్స్, ప్రొడక్షన్ డిజైన్ కూడా రిచ్గా అనిపిస్తాయి.

దీనికి తోడు, క్లైమాక్స్లో ఉపయోగించిన వీఎఫ్ఎక్స్ (VFX) నాణ్యత కూడా చాలా తక్కువగా ఉండటం పెద్ద మైనస్గా మారింది. ముఖ్యమైన ఇతర పాత్రలకు బలం, డెప్త్ (లోతు) లేకపోవడంతో, మంచి కాన్సెప్ట్ ఉన్నా దాన్ని సరిగ్గా ఉపయోగించుకోలేకపోయారు.

'జటాధర' సినిమా ఆలోచన బాగున్నా, దాన్ని సరిగ్గా తెరకెక్కించడంలో దర్శకులు విఫలమయ్యారు. మంచి నటీనటులు, ఒక ఆసక్తికరమైన కాన్సెప్ట్ ఉన్నా, బోరింగ్ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే కారణంగా సినిమా ప్రేక్షకులను పూర్తిగా ఆకట్టుకోలేకపోయింది.

Story:
The film is a Supernatural Thriller. The hero, Shiva (Sudheer Babu), is a rationalist who wants to prove that ghosts do not exist. However, a recurring dream connects him to a past secret involving a hidden treasure ('Lanke Bindelu') and the guardian spirit known as 'Dhana Pisachi' (Sonakshi Sinha). The concept sounds very intriguing.
Analysis:
The main issue with the film is the Screenplay. In reality, the hero Sudheer Babu acted with a lot of commitment for this role. His effort is clearly visible, especially in the climax sequence. Similarly, Sonakshi Sinha's look and her screen presence as the 'Dhana Pisachi' are appealing. Certain parts of the movie also feature rich visuals and production design.
Despite these positives, the entire film is let down by the weak narrative. The execution of the story is poor, resulting in many scenes feeling boring and clueless. Specifically, the flashback episodes and the first half feel very dragged out, causing frustration for the audience.
Adding to this problem, the quality of the VFX (Visual Effects) used in the climax is very poor, which significantly lowers the film's standard. Since important supporting roles also lack strength and depth, the good core concept couldn't be fully utilized.
Final Verdict:
The film 'Jatadhara' had a good idea, but the directors failed to execute it properly. Despite having good actors and an interesting concept, the movie failed to fully impress the audience due to the boring screenplay.
Overall: An Average to Below Average Film.
